Xu Ruifeng is a representative inheritor of a unique ceramic art: Dehua Porcelain Firing. But as well as being a dedicated craftsman, he’s also an innovator, having successfully developed both “Chinese Red” in 1999 and “Colored Crystal Glaze” in 2000. Thanks to these pioneering glazing techniques, he’s not only filled a void in the Dehua tradition but also fueled a nationwide trend in ceramic artistry.
