Safdar Parvez, the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) country director for China, stated in an interview with CGTN anchor Guan Xin that the ADB has raised its forecast for China’s economic growth for 2023 to 5.2 percent based on the effective policy responses of the Chinese government, including a 1 trillion yuan stimulus package and cuts in the policy rate. He added that China plays a pivotal role in regional as well as global economic prospects.
